Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Our Mahanda Africa Safaris representative will pick you from the airport and transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi where you will have a rest for the night.

Highlights

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Nakuru

This safari will start with a pick up from your Nairobi hotel at 7a.m and immediately depart for Lake Nakuru to arrive by mid-morning. You will have a stopover by the great rift valley for a few minutes then proceed for your first game drive before checking at the lodge for lunch. Have another game drive after lunch till 5.30pm when you check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Look out for flamingos, rhinos, buffalos, giraffes and so much more!

Highlights

Day 3: Transfer to Maasai Mara

Have early breakfast at the hotel then depart for Maasai Mara. The road to Mara is a scenic one; passing through valleys, plantations and small towns. Arrive in Maasai Mara in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive will be for 2 hours till 6p.m.

Day 4: Full day game drive in Maasai Mara

This day will be spent in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits these beautiful savannah plains. There will be picnic lunch on the banks of Mara River. Alternatively, have morning and afternoon game drives.

Optional activities include Hot air balloon, cultural tour, sundowner, bush meals and guided nature walks

Highlights 

Day 5: Transfer to Nairobi

Have another early-morning game drive then return to the camp for breakfast. Thereafter, depart for Nairobi with a stop for lunch on your way to Nairobi.
