Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN UGANDA
Your driver/guide will pick you up from Entebbe airport and transfer you to ViaVia Guest house, only a 10-minute drive from the airport. This is where your Mahanda Safaris driver/ guide will find you tomorrow morning for the start of your tour after a good breakfast.
Depending on the time of your arrival, you might have time to explore Entebbe town. There are many options in Entebbe and a tour can easily be organized through the reception of ViaVia Guesthouse. For example, you could visit the Botanical gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC). Please note that all activities and transportation for today are at your own cost.

DAY 2- TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK VIA ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY
You will be picked up by your guide from Entebbe to start your road trip to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive will take you through the beautiful Ugandan countryside with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
At the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you can look forward to encountering the endangered Southern White Rhinos in their natural habitat. Depending on the time, you will also have lunch before continuing your journey to the Murchison Falls National Park.
You will arrive at Murchison Falls National Park in the evening & check in to Fort Murchison Lodge for relaxation, dinner & your overnight stay. The lodge is set in a beautiful surrounding looking out over the majestic Albert Nile River and offering a beautiful and relaxing view.

DAY 3- GAME DRIVE AND BOAT SAFARI AT MURCHISON FALLS N.P
Today you will wake up early in the morning, and after an early breakfast, start your morning game drive just before the break of dawn. Sunrise is the best time for wildlife spotting as animals tend to be the most active during the “golden hours”, when the first rays of sunshine come to rest on the savannah. Elephants, buffalo and several species of antelope are some of the characters you may come across today. If you’re lucky, you may even spot a lion or leopard.
After lunch, you can look forward to a 3-hour boat safari on the Victoria Nile upstream to the waterfalls. The scenery is breathtaking and the riverbanks teeming with wild life including crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys & other animals that come down to the Nile to drink water
As an optional activity, you can chose to take a hike (1-1.5 hours) up to the top of the falls (optional at additional cost of $15 pp).
After your boat safari, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 4- HIKING ON TOP OF THE FALLS AND TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Today you will savor your last sunrise & breakfast in this beautiful National Park. Your day will start with a walk to the top of Murchison Falls. The walk will last for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Later, you will travel by road to Kibale National Park with a stop along the way for lunch.
You will reside at the Rweteera Safari Park. Your stay in Rweteera safari Park for the next two nights will offer you a unique jungle experience complete with forest smells and sounds, primates swinging through the trees and rare birds and beautiful butterflies fluttering around. The elegant, tented camp is located in a patch of evergreen forest which borders the Magombe swamp and is a mere 10 min drive to where your chimp tracking will happen.

DAY 5-CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND VISITING BIGODI WETLAND
After an early breakfast, you will move to Kibale National Park for Chimpanzees Tracking experience where you will have the opportunity to follow an experienced guide into the forest to observe these fascinating creatures at a close range. Watching them interact with each other and go about their daily routine of grooming, playing, and foraging is an incredible experience.
In the afternoon after your lunch, you can choose whether you would like to go for a Community walk or go deeper into the forest on a Swamp Walk in the Bigodi Wetland. The Bigodi wetland is home to 8 primate species, over 200 bird species, butterflies and various reptiles. In the evening, you will return to the Lodge/Camp for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 6- TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA/ENTEBBE
Today you will leave this beautiful corner of Uganda and return to Entebbe. Your guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport 3 hours before your departure time. Please make sure your flight departure time is after 4 pm local time at the very earliest. For flights departing before 4 pm you will need to plan for an extra night in Entebbe, which are happy to arrange for you at an additional cost.
